Whether you've sent or received one, there's a high chance that you've experienced a wrong-number text. And we don't blame you. It's super easy to text the wrong person, as one small typo can be the difference between the right text and the wrong one. Lily discovered that for herself, but it seems as though she just didn't quite understand where she was going wrong. So, she kept texting "Julie."
Although "Julie" was quick to point out Lily's mistake, it seems as though the new mom still didn't get the memo. At least "Julie" was nice about the whole situation.
"The Key Is Under the Mat"
If you're someone who loses your house key on a regular basis, you might hide a spare one near your front door. And that's totally ok. After all, everyone does it! Some people hide it under the cute little frog statue they have on their deck, others stash it on top of their porch roof, and others put it under the doormat. But that idea doesn't really work if you have holes in your doormat.
The person who lives here obviously didn't really think about what they were doing when they "hid" their key under the doormat. But we probably don't have to tell them that it didn't really work.
Time to Hire a Fact-Checker
It can be a real kick to the gut when one of your favorite celebrities passes away, and many of us find out this devastating news on social media. But we can't help but think that this must be much, much worse. After all, John Carpenter was simply going about his celebrity life when he spotted this post on Twitter. According to Rotten Tomatoes, he wasn't as alive as he thought he was!
We don't blame him for correcting this poor piece of reporting, but we can't help but think that he must have appreciated the little bit of promotion he got from this.
All About That Self-Love
No matter whether you think they're cute or corny, there's no doubt about the fact that couples' outfits are extremely popular. From matching Halloween costumes to everyday casualwear, couples around the globe don these looks to show off their love for each other. And in theory, this couple's king and queen T-shirts should have been a total win for them and their relationship. In reality, though, they were a total fail!
We're pretty sure these two should have been wearing these T-shirts the other way around. Unless, of course, they decided that self-love is the most important aspect of their relationship.

In today's day and age, losing your phone is almost as traumatic as losing your child in the grocery store. But if you're lucky, it can be fairly easy to be reunited with your phone - especially if a friendly member of the public decides to reach out to your friend, Adam. While Adam had good intentions and hoped to reunite his friend with his lost phone, it seems as though he didn't really think about his plan until he totally messed it up. At least he tried?
Nice and Secure
At first glance, this bicycle looks nice and secure. Whoever owns this bike obviously decided to keep their property safe while they weren't using it, and we have to commend them for looking at their possessions. But if you look closer, you might notice a little something. Yep, their padlock isn't attached to their bike at all! Sure, the padlock is attached to the pole, but the bike isn't attached to either of them.
Luckily for this person, nobody else has realized and their bike is still safe where they left it. But they might want to rethink their whole process next time they take their bike somewhere.
A Good Deed Gone Wrong
Although humans like to think that they're intrinsically good-natured, some are also pretty stupid - and that's never a good combination. Don't believe us? Just look at exhibit A. While this person thought they were being a good samaritan and saving the life of the animal that was walking around their backyard, they didn't do their research before throwing it into the water. A quick Google search would have helped them right out.
Instead, they threw an animal that can't swim into the water and potentially killed the animal in the process. Sure, the thought was there. But that's where their good deed ended.

Let's be honest; the golden arches are iconic. Most of us would know the name of this fast food chain without having to see the name of the restaurant, but every McDonald's location still has the name outside of it for good measure. Well, almost all of them do, anyway. It seems as though the person in charge of this McDonald's restaurant sign didn't have their coffee in the morning.
We've never been to Mnald's McDo before, but we're definitely intrigued. Perhaps they serve some McNicken Chuggets? Or the world-famous MigBac? Whether this was a total fail or a marketing ploy, we're invested.
An Airbnb Gone Wrong
There was once a time when Airbnbs were all the rage. There was nothing cooler than staying in someone's converted school bus or treehouse in the woods, and guests loved the idea that they could rent someone's own home. But let's be honest; the tides have changed. In recent years, these hosts have become a little too intense. Like this host, who counted every single dish and cooking utensil they had in their house.
What they failed to realize before they accused the guests of stealing from them was that their guests were actually just trying to help. Most hosts would dream of having guests who clear up after themselves!
Rubbing Salt Into the Wound
There's nothing worse than a breakup. And from the look on this guy's face, he's nursing a seriously broken heart! But we guess he didn't want to waste the sports tickets he bought for himself and his ex after she dumped him. But we have a feeling that this woman would agree that she was negatively influenced when she decided to tattoo her eyeballs blue and purple. Sure, we love tattoos as much as the next person, but how many people have you seen with blue and purple eyeballs? That should have been a good indicator that she was making a stupid decision!
The photo on the right proves that this woman should have thought twice before following social media trends. On this occasion, we think Mike Tyson definitely won this match. That looks so painful.

Let's take a poll... how many of you have your head firmly in your hands right now? We're going to assume that it's most of you, as this facepalm moment is so bad. While there's no doubt about the fact that the statue on the left and the celebrity on the right do bear some resemblance to each other, the person commenting on this similarity got this comparison so, so wrong.
That's not the "statue of Mona Lisa," and that's definitely not Keith Urban. We think this person needs a serious lesson on popular culture and history. They weren't even good guesses.
Don't Look Obvious
We've all been in that situation when a friend has asked you to look at someone without making it obvious. And we all know that it's basically impossible to not look obvious. It seems as though it's also impossible to not look obvious when you're a box of party supplies, too. That sucks for this daughter, who just wanted to throw a surprise birthday party for her mom without giving it away.
Although she left strict instructions to hide the party supplies, the end result had the opposite effect. We bet her mom had no doubt what was going on behind her back when she saw this.

American rapper Post Malone is pretty smart. After all, he's been able to create an impressive career for himself and he's won over fans across the globe. And while he obviously has some street smarts when it comes to music, we can't help but think that he flunked science when he was at school. Yep, we hate to break it to you, Post Malone, but that's not actually a koala.
While he tried to mix with the locals during his trip Down Under, he failed miserably. Last time we checked, koalas don't have four spindly legs or a pouch for their joeys.

If you're still going through the truckload of toilet paper you hoarded during the pandemic, then you probably won't ever have this problem. You have enough to last you the next 10 years, right? Well, the person below was obviously one of the many people who witnessed empty shelves in the grocery store during this time, so they had to improvise. And while it's definitely a facepalm, we can't help but think it's also a triumph.

People on the internet are wild. Everyone thinks they know everything about the world, and they believe that they're the ultimate experts. They tried to school these internet users on European geography, but in reality, they needed to go back to school themselves.
Despite what this person was trying to suggest, Austria is not Australia, and it is, in fact, in Europe! Their attempt at being the MVP of the internet didn't work out this time. Sorry, man.

If you're going to pretend to be something you're not, you need to at least do a little bit of research before you start lying. And while we have to commend this young lady for at least trying to understand the world of comic books and movies, it seems as though she was a little off the mark. No, that's not a Transformer. That's the one and only Iron Man.
Granted, both of these cultural icons are large and made out of metal, so we can understand the confusion. But we bet some of her comic-book-loving friends facepalmed when they saw this.

You don't have to be an art expert to know that Vincent Van Gogh is one of the most famous artists of all time. His iconic work is known across the world, and it seems as though everyone wants a piece of it. Even this person wanted to buy his legendary "Starry Night" painting from a seller online. And we guess they thought they were getting a serious bargain, especially as they thought it was an original.
We can only assume that this buyer hasn't done much research on Van Gogh, and doesn't realize that all of his originals are either in museums or have sold for millions of dollars. How silly.
A Gamer Girl?
What is a gamer girl? Well, she's definitely not like the girl below. Although this young lady obviously wanted to impress her friends on Snapchat with her video game-inspired photoshoot, she probably should have looked a little harder at the buttons on the controller she was using. If she was a real gamer girl, she would have realized that she was making the biggest gamer faux pas. No, that's not an Xbox.
Let's hope that whoever she was trying to impress wasn't into games themselves and didn't spot the huge mistake. Although judging by their reply, it seems as though they did.
The School System Has Failed
There's nothing more awkward than someone who is so confident that they are right, even when they are very obviously wrong. But it's also pretty hilarious, especially when this facepalm moment is blasted on social media for everyone to see. We All Scream for Ice Cream
There's nothing more annoying than being messed around in a restaurant, especially if you're hungry. Most people want their food to be on time and piping hot, and that doesn't seem like a lot to ask. But Ross found himself in a bizarre situation when all of the wait staff and kitchen staff ditched the restaurant in favor of the ice cream truck. We guess they just really love ice cream?
To be honest; after a day of working in front of house or in a hot kitchen, we'd probably want a yummy ice cream to cool us down, too. Give the hard-working people a break, Ross!
A Hostage Situation
Delivery drivers don't exactly have a great reputation. They're known for being late and unreliable, and they're also known for delivering packages in weird places. You know, like under a doorknob! If we really thought hard, we could probably understand the logic of this delivery driver. If nobody answered the door and it was a fragile package, they wanted to keep it upright, right? And sticking it underneath the handle would do just that.
In fact, we can't help but think that this might be the fault of the people in the apartment. If the delivery driver knocked, why didn't they answer? We reckon they're both to blame.

And while most people would do anything to sit in front of this sporting superstar during their first-class flight, it seems as though this woman instead decided to judge a book by its cover.
Sure, Tony doesn't look like the average celebrity, but we bet she got the shock of her life when he appeared on the television screen in front of her. Take that, lady!

Anonymity is a funny thing. For celebrities, it gives them the chance to live like the average Joe for a little while. In criminal cases, this anonymity can quite literally save someone's life. And while we're not sure who Tim McEldroon is, or the circumstances as to why he preferred to keep his name out of the paper, this is a total fail. After all, it says he "asked to remain anonymous" in black and white!
This is the ultimate facepalm and one that Tim probably wasn't too happy about. We're going to assume that he wrote a strongly worded letter to the newspaper about this major faux pas.
Is She the Real Mom?
It baffles us how many people don't really know how biology works. Of course, most high school biology teachers can't go into the specifics of everything a human being could possibly know, but is this person for real? This lady is worried that the baby she gave birth to could be the baby of another woman, and we just can't believe that someone hasn't told her that biology doesn't work that way.
We're extremely sorry that this woman had to go through something so traumatic as having her baby daddy cheated on her, but this question is seriously leaving us scratching our heads.

The trouble with the internet nowadays is that everyone thinks they're right. We get it; everyone is entitled to their opinions, and we relish the fact that free speech is readily available to everyone. You probably don't need us to tell you that being a human in 2023 is pretty stressful. It's harder than ever to make lemonade out of the lemons that we're being dealt with, especially as there are so many things to remember. Yep, there are bills to be paid, work to be done, and chores to be ticked off the list. That's why it's normal for some tasks to fall through the cracks.
However, we can't help but think that this lady probably should have realized that she needed to take her dog to the vet with her on this day. That's an epic fail.

Humans are getting more and more extra as the years go by, and it's getting exhausting. Yep, long gone are the days of Facebook post announcements. This couple even decided to use the natural world to reveal the gender of their baby!
And while their idea may have seemed like a good idea in theory, the reality is that they ruined an already-struggling town by contaminating the whole water supply. We'd love to know how they apologized for this.

Nowadays, conspiracy theorists are everywhere. In fact, you might even have one living next door! These guys question everything and come up with their own theories about life, the government, aliens, and so much more. But no matter the truth, there are always going to be people who disagree. And when these people come together online, you just know that it's going to be entertaining. Especially when a conspiracy theorist gets called out.
This young lady wanted to shame people using facial recognition, but this other internet user was quick to tell them the truth about driver's licenses. Something she probably had in her wallet.

Car accidents can leave you shaken, and they can also leave your car looking a little worse for wear - normally when you have no money and when you have somewhere to be! And while most people do everything they can to avoid having an accident, these things still happen. We can't help but hang our heads in shame when we look at this photo, though. Who eats pasta and drives at the same time?!
Although we're happy to see that this person was alive and well after their car accident, we're also shaking our fists at them from behind the computer. Here's a reminder: leave your spaghetti at home!
How Do They Work?
When you look at some humans, you have to laugh. Otherwise, you'll cry, right? While we have the ability to invent self-driving cars and floating cities, we're also pretty stupid. Ok, we know this is bad. There's no doubt about the fact that this is stealing, but you have to admire the ingenuity, right? This person decided to use their creativity and the lack of attention from the Walmart workers to cheat the system and get two free laptops in their hands, and we have to applaud their confidence. Is it possible to facepalm and clap someone at the same time?
Of course, we don't encourage stealing or criminality of any kind, and we don't think anyone should replicate this scam. But this is a story that will go down in history!

Have you ever come across something online that quite literally made you stop scrolling? Major companies spend millions on marketing in the hope that they can do just that, but everyday people are mastering it on a daily basis. All they have to do is lose all of their common sense and write something downright bizarre - like this! Yep, you're reading that right. This person really did write "I want my first daughter to be a girl."
While we're happy to hear that this person knows exactly what they want, daughters are normally girls anyway. That's how biology works. But we guess this person forgot all about that.
Seems Legit
Scammers are everywhere, and it seems as though they're getting very creative and specific with their requests! In fact, sometimes it's hard to know when someone is scamming you, as their emails and text messages look incredibly legitimate. Unfortunately for this scammer, their text message wasn't one of them. Unless the UK government is now accepting payment in the form of iTunes gift cards. We guess you can never have too much music.
The worst thing about this facepalm is the spelling errors. If you don't send them their iTunes gift card, you'll be under the rest. That actually sounds quite comfortable and relaxing.
What Planet Are They on?
Although the world is full of lovely people, it's also full of people who want to use the internet to tear people down. This is especially true when it comes to the discourse around celebrities. Some people just can't be happy for their success, and it seems as though this person is one of them. In fact, they tried so hard to tear down Ariana Grande that they got their planets confused!
The last time we checked, there were way more than 7 million people on this planet. There's way more than that in the United States alone! This person needs to try a little harder.
The Payback Hack
When you were younger, your friends probably pranked you by hacking into your Facebook account and writing funny statuses that would embarrass you. But this is an entirely different kind of hack, and we'd love to shake the hand of this store manager. After all, he could have just let this person steal their slushie and let the police deal with it. But instead, he wanted to give the criminal a heads-up.
Stealing something and then leaving your phone at the scene of the crime is a major facepalm, but the whole thing is made hilarious by this manager's response. That's top-tier humor right there.
This Isn't an Action Movie
Every action movie has the same scene: As a door starts to close, the hero throws their bag under the door and slides through just in time. It's a classic move! But the big difference between movies and real life is that movies aren't real. Some people get that, while others assume that they can turn themselves into Indiana Jones at the drop of a hat. But this woman soon realized that wasn't the case.
Instead of reuniting with her bag on the train, she instead had to watch it ride away from her as she tended to her bruised ego. Nice try, but not quite.
